The Knight Grip is an adaptable grip that meets the needs of individuals who have rheumatoid arthritis or trouble gripping small utensils and hand tools. The grip is comprised of four distinct layers. The main layer is a hinged tube structure made of light-weight durable plastic. The plastic tubing is coated in a layer of non-conductive material to protect the user from electric shock when using the tool. This coating also offers customized color options for marketing purposes. Inside the tubing is a third layer, comprised of removable adhesive foam strips that hold the tool in place. The foam strips come in a variety of thicknesses to grip a variety of tool handle sizes. The outside cover layer is made of a thermal plastic grip that will conform to the user’s unique hand grip, providing the leverage needed to use the selected tools. All layers are held in place by adhesive strips that wrap around the device in two locations, preventing the tool from slipping out during use. |
